Heart-and-crown Great Chair, possibly Milford, Connecticut, c. 1765-80, the pierced crest above molded bannisters and vase- and ring-turned stiles, with scrolled arms and medial arm stretchers, painted black, (imperfections), ht. 46, seat ht. 16 in. Estimate $800-1,200 small patch to scroll of crest, front feet probably pieced (1 1/2in.), and there are screws into the bottom of them. The chair has old repaint.
