Shaker Red-painted Case of Twenty-three Drawers, attributed to the workshop of George Wilcox, Enfield, Connecticut, mid-19th century, the dovetail-constructed case and drawers with original red paint, replaced pulls, ht. 29 1/2, wd. 31 1/2, dp. 7 3/4 in. Provenance: The Shaker Collection of Brenda and Charles R. Muller, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Literature: This case is illustrated and discussed in The Book of Shaker Furniture, by John Kassay, p. 119.
