John Abercrombie Gibson L-3 Acoustic Archtop Guitar, 1915, serial no. 24036, factory order no. 2588, with original case. Provenance: The estate of John L. Abercrombie. N.B. Gifted by a friend, this L-3 was a relatively late addition to John's guitar collection and was not used for gigging or recording. Estimate $1,000-1,500 Recent partial restoration by Mirabella Guitars. Repaired top cracks at lower and upper blocks. Repaired back crack at treble waist. Replaced tailpiece, bridge, and tuners. Strap button in neck heel. Repaired cracks to binding on bass side of neck, missing binding on treble side of neck. Original finish.
