First edition, quarto, in publisher's green cloth with titles and decorative gilt stampings in gilt and black, illustrated with twenty-one Woodburytype photographs of London street life, with custom clamshell box, (cover slightly bowed, wear at hinges and corners, toning to printed pages, previous owner's embossed stamp on title page and lower right corner of plate 4 not affecting the image or border, previous owner's ink stamp on front endpaper), 11 1/4 x 8 3/4 in.
