Full black calf with gilt tooling and stamping, containing approx. 119 autographed albumen portraits of Harvard Alumni from the 1830s including notable figures including Oliver Wendell Holmes, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Henry B. Adams, and others, as well as twelve images of Harvard halls, related buildings and the University Book Store in Harvard Square, (spine missing, front cover detached, Harvard College Library bookplate on inside front cover), 13 3/4 x 11 in. Provenance: This copy belonged to William Phillips and is accompanied by an early 20th century letter noting that it was it was a duplicate copy sold by the Harvard Library.
