Continental School, 19th century. A stained and painted glass roundel with central square diamond painted and stained depicting the Rod of Asclepius, an ancient Greek icon wielded by the god Asclepius, the deity associated with healing and medicine, the square diamond flanked to straight sides by green leaf tips and to corner ends by yellow trefoils, the whole composition with yellow beaded ring border and light blue solid ring border. Approximate diameter 10.125". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
