Clinton Loveridge (American, 1838-1915) Broad Landscape with Cows Watering in a Stream Signed "C. LOVERIDGE" l.r. Oil on canvas, 22 x 36 in. (56.0 x 91.5 cm), in a period frame. Condition: Scattered retouch including dots to sky and a small area to l.l. corner, old patch reinforcement l.l. on the reverse. Estimate $2,000-2,500 Framed dimensions are 30 x 43 7/8 x 3 1/4 in. The patch reinforcement does not seem to correspond to any repair on the front, which would be in the hindquarters of the standing black and white cow on the right or just slightly above.
