Karl Schrag (German/American, 1912-1996) Two Works: Silence–Green and Gold and Foliage After Sundown Both signed "Karl Schrag" l. r., titled on labels from Kraushaar Galleries, New York, affixed to the reverse. Mixed media including gouache on pressed paperboard, sight sizes 37 1/2 x 25 1/2 in. (95.2 x 64.8 cm), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frames. Provenance: The collection of Irving Mitchell Felt, New York (the former president of the current Madison Square Garden), then descended within the family. Estimate $5,000-8,000 Some transfer of pastel/chalk to glass (Foliage), minor creasing and crimping to edges and corners of both works. No further condition issues to report. Frame dimensions: 46 1/2 x 34 1/2 x 3 in. each Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
