Robert Brackman (American, 1898-1980) Two Figure Study Signed "Brackman" l. r., identified and titled on a presentation plaque and on a label dated to 1957 from the American Watercolor Society affixed to the backing. Pastel on paper, sight size 24 x 17 3/4 in. (61.0 x 45.1 cm), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. Provenance: The collection of Irving Mitchell Felt, New York (the former president of the current Madison Square Garden), then descended within the family. Estimate $700-900 Framed dimensions are 33 1/2 x 27 1/2 x 2 1/4 in. Frame was opened during preview. The sheet size is 25 1/2 x 19 5/8 in. Paper is watermarked Canson & Montgolfier along the bottom edge. There are multiple tack holes in each of the corners. Sheet is not laid down. Sheet is affixed to cardboard backing with pieces of masking tape at the upper edges of the recto. Remnants of masking tape to the lower edges of the reverse. Please see condition photos.
