Hanging Scroll Mukjukdo, Korea, late 19th century, possibly by Jeong Minsoo (b. 1828), depicting two stalks of bamboo, inscribed and signed with three seals, including one reading "Byeoksan," ink on paper, painting 50 5/8 x 24 5/8 in. Provenance: Acquired in Seoul, Korea, in the 1960s by an American businessman who returned to the U.S. in 1968; purchased by the present owner in 2003. Estimate $1,000-2,000 extensive foxing and mildew in progress, spotty tears (now stabilized) and stain. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
