Large Carved Inkstone, China, decorated with an openwork dragon and cloud design with two facing dragons, with an inscription on the back, signed "Shiyou" (inkstone or true friend), ht. 4, wd. 19 1/4 in. Estimate $800-1,000 heavy soiling and dirt, breakage at the tail of one of the dragons, tiny chips to some areas. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
