John Steeple (British, 1823-1887) Near Arundel, on the Arun. Signed "hn Steeple" l.l., titled on a modern label affixed to the back of the frame. Watercolor on paper, 13 x 15 9/16 in., framed. Condition: Image cut down trimming the signature, small stain near u.r. margin and u.l. corner, uneven toning, foxing on the reverse, minor areas of color loss to left margin in grass.
