Carved Walnut Prie-dieu, probably Italy, 19th century with earlier elements, beveled top, drawer flanked by lion's heads, single door with carved arms flanked by angels, kneeler lifts to storage below, base with conforming carved decoration, set on bun feet, ht. 39, wd. 30, dp. 27 in. Estimate $500-700 Top, door, and most carving appear to be later additions. Staple hinges for door detached, but present. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
