Italian Violin, Carlo Broschi, Parma, 1731, labeled Carlo Broschi in Parmæ/fecit 1731, length of back 356 mm, with case and bow. Estimate $3,000-5,000 Top cracks to lower bout on both sides of block. Treble wing crack. Wood loss to top at neck joint and lower treble corner. Rib cracks. Reglued back center seam. Purfling loss at lower bout of back. Some damage to head, volute grafted and pinned.
