Plains Indian Pipe with Long Ash Stem and Catlinite Pipe Bowl, mid-19th century, the catlinite elbow-type bowl decorated with deeply incised circle and triangle designs and with narrow cut bands, the long stem shows signs of an early repair to a split in the wood, lg. of stem 36 3/4, lg. of bowl 4 1/2 in.
