Benedictus, Edouard (1878-1930) Variations [and] Nouvelles Variations. Paris: Editions Albert Levy, [1928]. Two large-format portfolios containing brightly colored designs, pochoir prints by J. Saude, some with metallic inks; the first with eighteen of twenty plates (lacking plates eight and seventeen); the second with eighteen of twenty plates (lacking plates six and nineteen); [together with] four plates from the Benedictus portfolio, Relais, (plates three, four, five, and nine); [and] Andre Durenceau's Inspirations, Woodstock, New York: H.C. Perleberg, 1928, illustrated with twenty-three of twenty-four plates (lacking plate one), each print with a library stamp; all plates with marginal damage, including, chipping, short tears, signs of handling, dust, dog-eared corners, (damage varies, should be viewed) and other defects, original portfolio covers (damaged) present, in all, sixty-three plates, the Benedictus plates measuring 18 3/4 x 14 1/2 in.; the Durenceau plates measuring 17 x 13 3/4 in.
