Austrian, Late 19th century. Royal Vienna hand painted figural porcelain plaque depicting a young boy in green cap, pinkish red neckerchief and hand in pocket enjoying smoking a cigarette. Signed lower right "Seidel". Vertically aligned figural motif decorative porcelain plaque inscribed on verso with "Erste Rauchversuch (First Try at Smoking)" above blue beehive mark above "AUSTRIA". Framed approximately 11.3" x 8.5". Unframed approximately 7.5" x 4.6".
