A fond subject of Salentin's, he produced several variants of this composition. Estimate $1,500-2,000 Lined. Retouch to fill minor areas of craquelure beneath the dogs and cart. Broadly brushed thin retouch to the sky, with a bit more concentration in the u.l. corner and also along the top and side outside edges probably to cover an old frame abrasion. Framed dimensions are 30 x 38 3/8 x 4 1/2 inches. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
