Maxime Du Camp (French, 1822-1894) Eleven Plates from Egypte, Nubie, Palestine et Syrie, 1852, printed by Blanquard-Evrard, Lille. Identified on pre-printed mounts. Salted paper prints, image sizes to 6 5/8 x 8 3/8 in. (16.8 x 21.2 cm), one matted, all unframed. Condition: The majority with scattered foxing. Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection. N.B. Plates 12, 33, 41, 46, 61, 67, 74, 75, 76, 95, and 112 are included. Estimate $1,200-1,800 Sheets measure 11 5/8 x 14 7/8 in. (29.5 x 37.8 cm). Majority with uneven toning, each sheet has one rough edge (likely from being previously bound together as an album). Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
