Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar, c. 1960, serial no. 42158, the neck end inscribed 11-59, the potentiometers stamped 304920, with later Fender hardshell case. Estimate $5,000-7,000 Probably composite. Refinished. Pickguard cracked, chipped, and drilled for mini-toggle switch between the tone pots (although the shield has not). Missing backplate. Extensive modifications to neck, including: tuner holes enlarged and bushed, front of headstock veneered (and veneer cracked at low E tuner), end of fretboard grafted at nut, replica decals, oversprayed, double-line Kluson tuners, additional string tree screw hole.
