Taylor, John of Caroline (1753-1824) Tyranny Unmasked. Washington City: by Davis and Force, at Franklin's Head, Pennsylvania Avenue, 1822. First edition, octavo, no errata slip, 349 pages, contemporary marbled sheepskin boards, somewhat awkwardly rebacked and recornered, scuffed, edges stained yellow, water stain to top outside corner, 8 1/2 x 5 in. Taylor was a Jeffersonian Republican whose works inspired the states' rights and libertarian movements. Estimate $250-350 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
