Folio, second edition, with corrections, textual additions, and three additional plates not included in the first edition, large folding lithograph of the skeleton mounted on linen in separate panels bound before lithographic frontispiece and chromolithographic title, illustrated with twenty-nine plates (counting two folding plates at front and back), contemporary blue cloth stamped in blind with gilt mastodon skeleton on front board, (binding somewhat weakened and tattered), contents with some spotting, generally good, 13 x 9 3/4 in.
