A large collection of stereoscopic views depicting the Adirondacks, Niagara Falls, places in Vermont, and European locales, in addition to a group of hand-colored natural history views (including some satirical images with baboons as people), cabinet cards of actors, a few signed cabinet cards, and a group of American politicians, lawyers, and statesmen, including Ebenezer Rockwood Hoar, Jacob D. Cox, George S. Boutwell, William B. Allison, Addison Laflin, Norman Judd, General George H. Thomas (many by Brady), a few signed to Robert Safford Hale (1822-1881), the entire collection likely formed by Hale. Estimate $300-500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
