Hermon Atkins MacNeil (American, 1866-1947) Maquette for the 1901 Pan-American Exposition Medal. Signature relief l.c. Plaster, 10 in. diameter, with hanging wire incorporated at the top on the reverse. Condition: Minor narrow abrasion to left center edge, minor accretions and surface scratches. N.B. The medals were struck in both bronze and silver, as well as gilt bronze, and there are even a few known that were struck in 24K gold by The Gorham Manufacturing Company. Estimate $400-600 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
