French Model 1774 Musket, c. 1774, .75 bore, walnut stock with "BM" carved on the butt below the trigger guard, iron fittings, lower barrel band has a ramrod retaining spring, lock markings are light and not discernable, no visible barrel markings, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 1/2 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Stock has some dings and nicks, gun has been reconverted using an original cock and replaced pan and hammer, and the lock functions properly.
