U. S. Model 1872 Kepi, c. 1870s, blue wool broadcloth body, with Civil War-era brass crossed saber insignia on the crown, a brass "1" below, leather chin strap with general service buttons, black silk liner (damage), and remnants of a Philadelphia maker's label. Provenance: The collection of Ron Tunison. Estimate $200-250 Visor has some cracking from age, cloth is in very good condition, liner has some loss but in overall good condition.
