Underhammer Double-barrel Shotgun, c. 1830s-40s, .80 bore, walnut stock with an iron buttplate, trigger guard is from a French 1763/66 or U.S. 1795 musket, brass trigger/hammer plate, and British barrels, barrel lg. 29 1/2, overall lg. 46 1/2 in. Provenance: The collection of Nick Chandler. Estimate $800-1,200 Stock has a few dings and nicks and two cracks on the left side of the butt near the hammer screw, barrels, rib, and butt plate are a plum/brown color, the locks function but don't stay on full cock.
