Mexican War Veteran's Medal, c. 1870s, bronze shield (missing ribbon and bar) with the major battles around the border, a ship, crossed muskets, a cannon, and "MEXICO/1846" on the obverse, on the reverse engraved "Col/Orlando B. Wilcox/1st Michigan Cavalry," overall ht. 2 1/4, wd. 2 1/8 in. Estimate $300-500 Missing the ribbon and bar, but in overall good condition.
