French Model 1763/66 Pistol, c. 1763-77, .73 bore, walnut stock with a light cartouche on the left side, brass fittings, early bird's-head-style butt cap, lock plate marked "Maubeuge," with an iron ramrod, barrel lg. 9, overall lg. 16 in. Estimate $700-900 Stock has a few dings and nicks, the front band spring was shortened, the hammer and pan are replacements but the cock is an original, and the lock functions properly.
