Chippendale Mahogany Rush-seat Side Chair, Massachusetts, late 18th century, the serpentine crest rail with carved ears above an "owl" splat, and trapezoidal slip seat and shaped apron joining frontal arris cabriole legs ending in pad feet on tall platforms, ht. 38 3/4, seat ht. 16 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 repair behind upper part of each front leg; one rail broken out from stile and reaffixed. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
