Classical Carved Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Server, probably Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1820-25, with half-serpentine ends joined to the serpentine front by ovolo corners, above a conformingly shaped case of long drawer above an arched opening and two short drawers, all flanked by half-columns carved with flowers on a punchwork ground continuing to ring-turned and spiral-carved legs and feet, ht. 31, wd. 37 1/2, dp. 19 1/4 in. Estimate $2,500-3,500 the edges of the underside of the top appear to be cleaned up and as a result don't have a lot of color. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
