Terry and Sons Eight-day Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, carved eagle splat over the glazed dial door, lower door with reverse-painted glass tablet, painted wood roman numeral dial with seconds bit above the center shaft, interior maker's label states in part "Made and Sold at Plymouth, Connecticut, by E. Terry & Sons," eight-day wood movement powered by compounded cast iron weights, ht. 37 in. Estimate $200-400 Lower door glass possibly replaced. Few small veneer chips, no indication of finials, splat and chimneys appear original, old gilt surface to columns. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
