New England Cherry Tall Clock, possibly Connecticut River Valley, fret-top case with fluted free-standing columns flanking the white-painted roman numeral dial with floral decorated arch and spandrels, pewter hands, calendar and seconds, full-length tombstone waist door, all resting on ogee bracket feet, eight-day time and hour-strike movement, regulated by a wooden rod pendulum and two associated weights, ht. 85 without finials. Estimate $1,200-1,800 dial has some small in-painting and losses around posts, fret replaced, seating board original to movement, case stiles have been modified to receive seating board, case refinished, new feet Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
