Heller & Brightly "Sun Flower" Surveyor's Instrument, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 13-in. dia. engraved circle marked in four quadrants, and "no. 8287" on the central cross-section, 360 degree rotating center wooden alidade stamped with maker's name and vernier scale divided 10-0-10, two spirit levels mounted to right angles of each other, brass poll and leveling base, housed in its original chestnut case with two interior labels, one reading in part "Circular Disc for Cross-Sections in Tunnels."
