William Wurdemann Transit No. 120, Washington, DC, mid to late 19th century, 10-in. scope mounted to curvilinear supports, vertical circle with vernier and magnifier, black horizontal compass with blued needle and outer silvered scale divided into four quadrants, all rotating on the stationary plate that is engraved "Wm. Wurdemann No 120/Washington City," three-post adjustable base, housed in its original fitted case with spirit level accessory. Provenance: Richard Miller Collection.
