Nepalese, 19th century. Presentation grade Gurkha khukuri sword or knife contained within a red velvet covered and jeweled scabbard with light blue and pinkish red stones with clear enameled finish surrounded by wire and metal work with scrolling and beaded borders. Khurkuri knife blade within, blade engraved with scrolled foliates, handle with similar ornament as scabbard. Ox or cow hoof notch at bottom above handle at bottom of blade. Scabbard with additional two small knives (chakmak and karda). Length of knife (outside of scabbard) approximately 16". Length of knife within scabbard approximately 18".
