Charles Hoffbauer (French/American, 1875-1957) Desert Scene Stamped signature "C Hoffbauer" l. r., inscribed "Hoffbauer" on the reverse. Oil on panel, 9 x 12 in. (22.9 x 30.5 cm), framed. Condition: Minor surface grime, small horizontal crack to c.l. edge of panel, approximately 1 1/2 inches in length. Estimate $600-800 The crack is visible in the paint layer, but there are no losses beyond the crack itself. The work might benefit from a cleaning.
