Rare Heller & Brightly "Small" Mining or Reconnaissance Transit, 7 1/4-in. telescope with spirit level below, sixty-degree vertical arc with dual verniers reading to single minutes, 3 1/2-in. black compass dial marked "Heller & Brightly/Maker Philada," opposing verniers, one with a plate glass cover, dual spirit levels, mounted to a four-screw adjustable base, housed in its original fitted carrying case.
