S. Maw, Son & Thompson Monocular Field Microscope, Aldersgate, St. London, lacquered brass instrument with screw-mount main barrel, damascened square plate, knurled knobs for triangular pillar adjustment, "A"-frame base engraved as above, housed in a small mahogany fitted carrying case. Estimate $300-500 shaft on adjustment knobs is slightly bent, and interior glue block need re-glueing.. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
