Sancai-glazed Camel, China, Tang dynasty, standing on a flat rectangular bisque base, mouth open and head turned upwards, saddled, with stand, ht. 25 in. Note: The TL Test issued by H.M. Lai, Chairman at the Department of Physics, and K.P. Chik, Laboratory Director, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is available with this lot. Estimate $2,000-4,000 in good condition with some spur marks on the right saddle of the camel. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
