Mirror Black-glazed Bowl, China, Qing dynasty, on a short waisted stem foot, incised with double ring around the mouth rim, thinly potted with purple clay, ht. 2 5/8, dia. 5 1/8 in. Provenance: Property of Carl Crossman. Estimate $400-600 a chip to rim, surface stain and scratches particularly to the interior, glazing flaws with firing cracks, bumps, and clay impurities.
