Near Pair of Red Lacquered, Carved, and Gilded Incense Stands, China, early 20th century, tops with cut corners, carved edges, one with solid carved waist, the other with pierced and carved waist, aprons carved with stylized floral motifs, cabriole legs ending in scroll feet, curved base stretchers, recent removable glass tops, ht. 32 1/4 and 31 3/4, tops 14 1/4 x 14 1/4 in. Provenance: The estate of Elizabeth M. Ames. Estimate $300-500 Age cracks to tops, tops possibly altered, one with a section of waist detached, but present.
