Satsuma Tea Caddy with Gilt-bronze Cover, Japan, early 20th century, square form on four bracket feet, decorated with seated arhats, the bronze inner cover with a coral bead knob, the outer cover, a carved stone elephant, "Choshuzan" mark on base, ht. 3 3/4 in. Provenance: From a Maine estate. Estimate $300-500 a chip to elephant finial, minor tarnishing to metal. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
