Needlework Sampler "Elizabeth King," Salem, Massachusetts, 1798, worked in silk threads on a linen ground, with a central reserve with alphanumeric lines interspersed with animals and with a lower pictorial register, all surrounded by double sawtooth border and wide outer border of meandering vine, with birds and dogs in the upper and lower corners, (fading, losses, linen toned), 15 3/4 x 14 1/2 in. , in a black frame.
