Inlaid Cherry Tall Case Clock, Timothy Chandler, New Hampshire, early 19th century, the tombstone hood topped by a fret joining inlaid plinths, with a conformingly shaped door opening to a white-painted, polychrome, and gilt iron dial, the case inlaid throughout with stringing and complex banding, the molded waist door centering an urn, the base centering a shell, (imperfections), ht. with finial 95 in. Estimate $3,000-5,000 restoration to fret and top of hood, hood glass cracked, side glass from hood loose but retained, shrinkage cracks and imperfections to inlay and veneer throughout.
