Turned and Carved Wood Silver Metal-mounted Chess Set, the pieces of light and dark woods, together with a brass timing glass, kings ht. 5 in. Estimate $150-200 The chess set is generally in good shape, with no cracks or breaks to any of the carving or turnings. The silver metal (it isn't silver) is tarnished but apparently in good condition. The crowns from each queen are detached but could be easily reaffixed. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
