45th Massachusetts Infantry Veteran's Medal, c. late 19th century, an upper banner marked "1862/BOSTON CADETS/REGT./MASSACHUSETTS," a small blue enameled flag marked "45," an off white and red ribbon, and a hanging medal in the form of the 18th army corps insignia marked "18" on the obverse, and the reverse marked "B/JAMES A. THOMPSON/MASS./45," overall ht. 4 3/8 in. Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Estimate $150-250 In very good overall condition.
