Newton's 3-inch Celestial Pocket Globe, London, first half 19th century, made up of twelve hand-colored engraved paper gores, decorated with constellation names, green background and the Milky Way labeled "Via Lacetea," cartouche reading "Newton's Improved Pocket Celestial Globe," engraved brass meridian ring and hour ring, contained in a fish skin-covered case, interior bottom with printed celestial gores with the sun represented at the center.
