American Dog/Lion Head Saber, c. 1760-80, brass hilt with brass branches, a crude brass dog's head pommel, oak grip with brass ferrule, iron blade with a single fuller, blade lg. 26 1/4, overall lg. 32 in. Estimate $2,000-4,000 Brass has some patination and the hilt is a little loose and some age appropriate wear on the wooden grip, blade is a dark plum color, overall in very good condition.
