Two-day Marine Chronometer, New York, no. 1592, 4-in. silvered dial marked with maker's name, location, and number as above, subsidiary seconds and up/down indicator dials, chain fusee movement with helical hairspring, split bimetallic balance, and spring detent, in a heavy brass bowl, all in a glazed, brass-bound, mahogany box, ht. 7 3/4 in. Estimate $300-400 Chronometer is currently running. Gimbal assembly in need of restoration.
